Statistics to help you with Senior Fitness and Healthy Aging

1.According to the National Center for Health Statistics, about 65% of American adults are overweight & obese. (March/April 2006 ACSM Health & Fitness Journal, Pg. 6)

2. According to the National Center for Health Statistics & the American Heart Association, 3 out of 4 adults do not exercise despite the knowledge that inactivity is related to heart disease, certain types of cancer, obesity, osteoporosis & frailty in old age.
